The Satellite Z830 is incredibly thin, light & powerful, and despite being just 1.12kg light and 8.3mm thin (front) and 15.9mm (rear), packs in a battery that lasts up to 8 hours and features extensive connectivity including 3 x USB, HDMI and SD ports. All of this technology is encased in a striking and stylish brushed metal design.

ULTRABOOK
A new category of extraordinarily responsive, stylish, and thin laptops ideal for those on the move. Ultrabook devices are laptops that are less than 18mm thick, offer more than 5 hours battery life, have fast boot up times and are powered by ULV Intel processors. The Z830 series is Toshiba’s first Ultrabook range.
STRIKING DESIGN
The Z830 weighs just 1.12kg and measures just 0.83cm at its thinnest point. It features a striking design with a magnesium alloy finish in dark silver with a brushed metal finish and metal accents on the hinges. A backlit tiled keyboard looks stylish and is ideal for working in darker conditions. One solid bottom plate and a more streamlined rubber protective strip for the screen complete the picture of a clean, sleek design.
Impressive connectivity
The impressive Z830 series proves that size doesn’t necessarily mean compromising on connectivity. The ultra-portable machines feature a versatile set of connectivity options, despite its remarkably thin design. Swap pictures and files or expand your storage capabilities using the SD card slot, or plug into USB 2.0 ports to share content with your other devices. The Z830 also features 1 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port. USB 3.0 is the latest USB standard that offers transfer rates up to 10 times faster than Hi-Speed USB 2.0. HDMI connectivity enables high definition connectivity from your laptop to AV equipment including your HD TV. Bluetooth 3.0 is the latest Bluetooth standard with fast 24 Mbit/sec transfer rate making it faster and easier to send large files via Bluetooth. VGA connectivity is also included. Selected models feature built-in 3G connectivity for access to the internet on the move.
BUILT TO LAST
The Z830 features a light, yet durable magnesium alloy casing that is reinforced with the honeycomb structure and new internal strengthening that provide shock absorption, increased rigidity and resistance to flexing. This makes the laptops highly resistant to drops and shocks. Plus, the full-size LED backlit and spill- resistant keyboard withstands accidental fluid spills to give users enough time to shut down the laptop and protect data stored on the device.
SSD DRIVE
The daily rigours of working on the move often results in vibrations and shocks to your laptop that can affect the internal components of a hard disk drive. But with a Solid State Drive (SSD) there are no moving parts, making your laptop better suited for mobile working. Solid state media is also faster and more power-efficient and significantly reduces boot and shut-down times, all meaning you can work quicker and enjoy the benefits of a longer lasting battery.
LONG LASTING POWER
The Z830 offers up to 8 hours battery life, for all day use without having to recharge the battery. The latest battery technology also means that the Z830 battery has a longer life span and will last for more re-charges than a standard battery. This will give you a longer lasting battery over time meaning you will still experience good battery life run times throughout the life of the laptop. A new eco mode utility also enables you to extend the life span of the battery by a further 30-40%. Battery life is further enhanced by the use of energy efficient components and a higher capacity integrated battery.
