By pulling cold air in, Airflow Cooling Technology enables the Satellite R830 to provide high processing performance within a thin casing.

HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test) is a testing method in which a laptop is repeatedly subjected to extreme levels of temperature, shock and vibration stress.
Test models are chilled to -25 and heated to 70 degrees Celsius, clamped, shaken, and made to withstand random vibrations at 45G in a series of tests that simulate and exaggerate the stresses of daily life.
These trials enable us to improve product durability and ensure the R-Series will hold up to a lifetime of use.
