Airflow Cooling Technology explored
The smallest of the R-Series models features Airflow Cooling Technology, co-developed by Intel® and Toshiba.
By pulling cold air in, Airflow Cooling Technology enables the Portégé R830 to provide high processing performance within a thin casing.
Components are also arranged to optimise the flow of cold air and reduce heat, allowing for unparalleled performance in an ultra-thin design.
HALT testing uncovered
HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test) is a testing method which repeatedly subjects laptops to extreme levels of temperature, shock and vibration stress.
Test models are chilled to -25 and heated to 70 degrees Celsius, clamped, shaken, and made to withstand random vibrations at 45G in a series of tests that simulate and exaggerate the stresses of daily life.
These trials enable us to improve product durability and ensure the R-Series will hold up to a lifetime of use.
Intel® vPro™ technology revealed
