Portégé R600

The Portégé R600 offers stylish, exceptionally thin and light laptops with transflective displays for clear visibility - even outdoors. And with built in optical drives, Toshiba EasyGuard and solid state drive options, you get the flexibility you need. 3G options enable you to be connected whenever you need to be.

At its lightest, the Toshiba Portégé R600 boasts an astounding weight of just over 800 grams with the latest embedded 3G HSPA and SSD Hard Drive, while simultaneously offering a feature set to rival laptops several times its size and weight. The result is a laptop that provides the very best in computing technologies, security and increased durability, all encased in a stylish and highly durable magnesium-alloy chassis.

The Portégé R600 follows its predecessor, the Portégé R500, in providing an ultra mobile computing solution that does not compromise on functionality. Powered by the latest Intel Centrino 2 VPro ultra-low voltage processors, each model provides enough power to handle the most demanding of business tasks, whist consuming less energy and increasing battery life to in excess of eight hours from one charge.

Each model offers 3GB of DDR2 RAM as standard, whilst Toshiba’s unique 12.1" Transflective widescreen display makes it easy to view images and text, even when in bright sunlight

An integrated webcam makes the R600 perfect for video conferencing and extensive wireless connectivity includes an embedded 3G/HDPA modem for mobile broadband access. 802.11agn and Bluetooth V2.1 to accompany this wireless offering. eSATA USB technology also provides increased data transfer rates for external storage devices, whilst USB Sleep and Charge technology allows external peripherals, such as mobile phone or media players, to be charged when the R600 is switched off.

The R600 range also includes an impressive selection of storage options, with various models available to suit all needs. For the first time ever, a R600 model that combines 128GB SSD storage with an integrated Super Multi optical disk drive and embedded 3G HSPA will also be available - providing increased flexibility for mobility and connectivity. Secondly, Hard Disk Drive (HDD) capacity of up to 200GB (7200rpm) provides space for large volumes of data, while models featuring next-generation 128GB Solid State Storage (SSD) provide added durability and increased energy efficiency.

Toshiba EasyGuard technology is included as standard, providing increased security against data theft, hardware damage and shocks and potential virus attacks, making the R600 as secure as it is portable. A full-size, spill resistant keyboard also provides protection against any accidental spillages.

Portégé A600

At only 1.4kgs, the Portégé A600 is an ultra-mobile laptop complete with built-in optical drive and 12" non-reflective display. Premium Toshiba EasyGuard technology, three-year warranty and optional dedicated docking are also included.

Weighing in at just 1.4kgs, the A600 has been developed for the mobile professionals that demand uncompromised functionality and ultra portability. Reflecting the concept behind the highly acclaimed Portégé R600, the A600 includes many of the same technological advances, bringing these elite features to a broader audience of business professionals and consumers.

Powered by the latest Intel Centrino 2 ULV processors, each model offers 2GB of RAM, giving outstanding performance to meet the demands of the mobile user. A high level of security is provided by the latest EasyGuard features such as multi-level password protection and easy logon via fingerprint recognition. The A600 also provides high levels of shock resistance thanks to Toshiba EasyGuard technology.

The Portégé A600 utilises power saving LED backlit LCD technology in a convenient 12” 1280 x 800 non-reflective TFT. Storage of up to 250GB provides ample space to back up files, with an integrated slim 9.5mm DVD SuperMulti Dual Layer Optical Drive included to provide the capacity to read optical disks. Impressive battery life of up to seven and a half hours allows mobile workers to use the Portégé A600 for a full working day without the need to recharge.

The Portégé A600 features a host of connectivity options, led by an optional integrated 3G/HSPA modem for mobile broadband access. 802.11agn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth V2.1 is also included, ensuring users remain connected whilst on the move, regardless of location.
