Toshiba’s new Satellite L500 and L550 models are a duo of widescreen models designed to offer quality computing performance. Both models offer attractive, well-built chassis at affordable price points. The Satellite L500 offers a 15.6” Toshiba TruBrite® display that provides a HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, while the L550 features a 17.3" TruBrite® display with power saving LED backlight technology, packing a HD resolution of 1,600 x 900. A four-button multimedia bar provides one-touch access to multimedia functions, while the steel grey cover design provides a contemporary finish. |

The Satellite A500 and U500 feature Toshiba’s new Multi-Touch control pad that enhances navigation and allows users greater control over their laptop using just the control pad. There are five ways to increase functionality of the control pad including pinching to zoom in or out of images and maps and creating a circular motion to scroll through documents. |
Available on all four new models, the Eco Utility tool allows users to manage the power consumption of their laptop via a simple graphical user interface. Activating Eco Mode will alter display brightness, LED illumination and other settings to reduce power usage. The difference in power consumption when working in Eco Mode against the conventional power plan can be shown in graph format within the user interface. |
