The value of a product is calculated by evaluating the product’s functions and performance based on the voice of customer. The environmental impact of a product is calculated by summing all the environmental impacts attributable to the product throughout its life cycle from procurement of raw materials to manufacturing, distribution, consumption and final disposal.
