Toshiba LifeSpace
Toshiba LifeSpace* is a free, value-added productivity application suite that gives consumers a more personalized approach to accessing their files, organizing daily activities, projects and more. Toshiba LifeSpace consists of two applications:
Bulletin Board: An easy-to-use visual organization tool that lets consumers create a personalized space for managing projects, viewing tasks, photos and more.
ReelTime: A visual timeline of recently accessed files to help users cut through cluttered desktops and multiple file folders so they can quickly find what they are looking for.

Power-saving Eco Utility
The Eco Utility software is an eco power plan that improves sustainability by lowering the power consumption. It enables the user to implement the eco power plan in a simple and easy way by switching on the eco mode, which starts the power-saving configuration. Direct feedbacks about the power-saving results are portrayed in a real-time visual power consumption chart via a specific GUI . Running in eco mode, the current power consumption is displayed as a green line in the graph in watt (W). The power savings can be summarised in a historical graph on a daily, weekly or monthly base both in watt (W) or CO2 emission in gram (g).
PC Health Monitor
The PC Health Monitor software proactively monitors certain laptop status such as power consumption, cooling status, battery health, PC status logging on HDD and 3D sensor information and may alert user with pre-failure conditions on display via a specific GUI. This proactive maintenance software helps to avoid "nasty surprises" with the added convenience of an easy-to-use monitoring tool.
Display with LED backlighting
The display backlighting via LEDs (Light-Emitting Diodes) delivers an even, uniform field of light across the entire viewing surface of the display. LED backlighting offers a series of advantages such as low operational voltage and thus lower power consumption with longer battery life, precise control over the light intensity, a longer life time than traditional displays and last but not least it is very environmental friendly.

HDD 3D Impact Sensor
The HDD 3D Impact Sensor offers a 3-axis monitoring system which dynamically detects free falls, shock or vibration in all directions and rapidly moves the HDD head from between the HDD platters in preparation for impact. This ensures that your valuable data is perfectly protected even when you are on the move.
USB Sleep-and-Charge
The USB Sleep-and-Charge functionality enables the user to charge a PDA, mobile phone, mp3 player, gaming console etc. via an USB port, a combined USB/eSATA port or both ports even when the laptop is turned off.
Touch Pad with
Multi-Touch Control
This new Touch Pad with Multi-Touch Control provides an innovative alternative to conventional scrolling and buttons. It features an advanced, touch-sensitive interface solution that senses the position of a user’s finger (or fingers) on its surface. The gesture-based trackpad technology allows you to pinch, swipe, or rotate to enlarge text, advance through photos, or adjust an image.

EasyControl bar with Control Buttons

Smart Display Support

Optical Drive Auto Lock
The Optical Disk Drive (ODD) Auto Lock feature avoids accidentally opening of the DVD drive when handling your laptop. This feature is only working under battery mode, thus is not supported when the laptop is operated in AC mode. In the event of an unstable condition, the ODD will not be opened when the eject button is pressed. When the laptop returns into a stable condition, the ODD is back in its normal state and able to be opened again. The user has the choice to set three interval time settings (1, 3 or 5 seconds) to determine how long the ODD eject button needs to be pressed before the ODD is opened.
Backlit Keyboard
Type easily - even in the dark. The backlighting is done in white and bright and evenly lights the keys of the keyboard. As only the characters are illuminated, you get just the right amount of light. The illuminated keyboard enhances your computing environment by creating a relaxed, ambient atmosphere, conducive to using your laptop even at night. The illumination can be easily switched on and off via the LED on/off button of the Multimedia Bar.
Remote Control
Why shouldn’t your laptop feel like a TV or DVD player? With the remote you can control your laptop from across the room with an array of buttons for adjusting various settings such as TV channel, track number, and volume via infrared signal. It’s also linked to the Instant DVD/CD start functionality.
Hybrid digital/analog TV tuner
Equipped with a DVB-T/analog Hybrid TV Tuner your notebook is ready to receive digital or analog TV wherever you want. The compact TV Tuner is simply integrated and additional power supply or external antenna is not required.
