VISUAL INSPECTION
 Use of the downloadable BatteryCheck utility software is the preferred and recommended method to perform battery pack identification.
Note that visual identification may produce an inaccurate result. It is possible that visual identification may indicate that the battery pack should be replaced, but the result of the BatteryCheck utility software indicates that the battery pack does not need to be replaced. If the results of these two identification methods do not match, the utility software result (not the visual result) is the accurate result.
Regardless of the above, if you do not want to download and use the BatteryCheck utility software, please follow the instructions below for each battery to determine if you have one of the suspect batteries.

Please turn off and unplug your Notebook PC before removing the battery for visual inspection.

Remove the battery from the notebook PC.
|
|

| Step 3 |
|
Following the instructions below, identify the suspect batteries by looking at the battery label.

Step 4 |
|
Battery model number(PA-number)
Check 'Model NO.' of battery.
If the number matches in the table below, go to step 5 ( or step 8 ). If the number does not match, you do not have a suspect battery.
